Bridgepoint Education has appointed Umang Jain as chief technology officer as the company looks to move towards education technology services.

Jain, who previously served as chief information officer for the Hill Physicians Medical Group, will provide technology leadership in the development and implementation of the company’s IT programme, Bridgepoint said in a statement.

The company’s chief executive Andrew Clark said: “Umang’s experience modernising IT programmes and leading agile transformations for large companies to support key initiatives will be a great asset to Bridgepoint.

“We look forward to leveraging both his big-picture, strategic approach and his focus on users to enhance our products and services as we re-engineer the modern student experience with innovative solutions.”
According to Bridgepoint, the company “harnesses the latest technology to reimagine the modern student experiences through programmes, technologies, and resource representing a unique model for advancing education in the 21st century”.

Jain led the digital transformation of the Hill Group in his previous role, including implementing its virtual care programme and new HR and finance functions, and modernising its data and data integration infrastructure.
