Belgian company Aedifica has bought a portfolio of five purpose-built care homes in the UK for £61 million.
The homes, which will be operated by Bondcare and Maria Mallaband Care Group, have a combined capacity of 467 bedrooms.
The five sites of the portfolio are located in Southall in West London, Dorking in Surrey, Swindon, Southampton and York. Constructed between 2005 and 2012, the properties are all modern, purpose-built care homes with single en suite bedrooms.
Aedifica chief executive Stefaan Gielens said: “We are very pleased to announce Aedifica’s first major portfolio acquisition in the UK following the takeover of 90 UK healthcare sites in 2019. Aedifica has invested £61 million in five fully operational purpose-built care homes for persons requiring continuous care. Other investments will follow.”
Aedifica is headquartered in Brussels.
