Parents who sent their children to independent schools in the UK could receive discounts after schools were shut to prevent the spread of coronavirus, The Daily Telegraph has reported.

Some fee-paying schools are considering discounts and fee freezes for the next academic year, as well as increase funding for bursaries following the decision of many schools to send boarders home until the crisis passes.

Whether parents get any money back or not will depend on the individual institution.
